We like our library. We are a frequent visitors for books and other services for the last 10 years. It's like a second home/school for many. I see they are keep adding new books for variety of readers. I see they bought some new Tamil books but We appreciate more Tamil, Hindi language books because our kids are learning those languages. It's a very busy public library on evenings, weekends and school holidays. Staffs are always friendly and helpful.
Really nice library with tons of books and multimedia. The staff is friendly and helpful. The library is clean and well kept. They offer a lot of activities to the community too.
I’ve been going to this library regularly for the last year or so, and it’s such a fantastic place! Everything seems tailor made to help patrons, including how many power outlets there are everywhere.
Even better than the library itself, though, is the fact that I can get a book sent to CPL from any other library in their network. This has allowed me to read so many books that I wouldn’t have been able to otherwise.
Another nice thing about CPL is that it’s part of a big park system. The lake is perfect to walk around (3 loops = 30 minutes), and there’s a free lending library there, too. Plus, there is always a child’s story available to read at different stations, and they change it monthly.
The staff is all really, really nice! Bonus points to the male librarian who likes horror and wore an awesome Jason Voorhees Halloween costume!
I also love it that I don’t feel judged by my reading choices here. I like to read a lot of horror, sci-fi, and graphic novels, and I’ve never gotten any weird looks. :)
Overall it's a good library. I only have a few problems. The staff is very annoying. They talk very loud most of the time and they constantly say things to you(rudely), even if you are quiet. Also the quiet rooms are loud. The chairs squeak constantly and people are loud all the time. People phones go off, they eat loudly, and do whatever they want. The staff don't say anything until they actually see you talking. I really like the layout but they need a new team.
This library is great! I love the vast foreign selections and they always have activities for all ages. My only negative feedback is that the children’s section could use more toys and imaginative play areas. They have a lot of devices for the kids to use, which is great, but my hometown library has dress up clothes, kitchen areas, toy cars, a big playhouse, building blocks and all sorts of toys that I could take my kids to during the winter months for a change of pace and to meet new friends.
The Canton Public Library is the best library I have ever visited. I have been to bigger libraries and fancier libraries and more homey libraries but the one that actually provides all the services I could imagine from a Public Library is the Canton Public Library!
As a public building and location it is kept clean and orderly. The bathrooms are kept up to date and clean. There is a small place to get snacks and drinks in the building and this concession area is also kept neat and clean. It is attractive as well.
The staff are engaged and interested in individual patrons and their needs. They have assisted me in several ways. Not only is the building in great shape and the services inside first rate they have an excellent online presence.
I have been able to use the services at the Canton Public Library to pursue my love of languages, track down my genealogy, perform historical research, biological research and other work. Of course I also get the materials I dearly love to read from here also.
The organization of the library itself also involves the community in many wonderful projects they put on regularly. These include conversations, book reading and special guests. Their public rooms are available for reasonable rates
This library is a jewel. I can think of no better use of my taxpayer money than this library (police and fire excluded). It's a beautiful building. It has a great collection. The MeL transfer system makes it almost unlimited. And it's stayed up with the times with the digital lending opportunities. I love this library.
Best library tbh very clean and organized and also great area to do work or study. I love how they have a separate area for food only very cleans and lovely atmosphere
